These terms govern any job the Ziruqen bench takes on in Austin, and the ones it turns down.

Effective date

These terms take effect on 14 September 2026 and apply to every visit to ziruqen.com and every job booked through it from that date forward. The date at the top of this page is the date these terms were last written; if it changes, the new version applies to any job booked after the change, not to a job already on the bench.

Who these terms are with

These terms are between the visitor and Ziruqen, trading at 122 Oak Lane, Suite 4, Austin, Texas 52041, United States. That address is the workshop and the counter, not a mailbox — it is where the bench is and where mail should go. Ziruqen is reached by phone at +1 (429) 555-0256 and by email at office@ziruqen.com. There is no separate corporate entity behind the trading name; the workshop is the whole business.

What the workshop does, and what it hands back

Ziruqen cuts household keys on-site, rekeys cylinders, swaps door hardware, answers lockouts, opens and resets small drawer safes and cash boxes, and repairs furniture and drawer locks — for private households in and around Austin. That's the list. It is not longer than that on purpose.

The bench does not program or cut automotive keys, does not take on fleet or multi-site commercial contracts, and does not open or service fire-rated vault safes. A caller asking for one of those is told so on the phone, in writing on the relevant service page, and again here: those jobs are refused, not quoted badly. Booking a job you describe over the phone or through the inquiry form is a request for an estimate, not a contract; a contract exists once the bench confirms a specific job, a specific address and a specific time.

Acceptable use of this site

The site and its forms exist to describe the work and take real inquiries. A visitor may not submit false contact details, may not use the inquiry form or chat to send anything other than a genuine question about a lock, a key or an appointment, may not attempt to probe, scrape or overload submit.php or chat.php, and may not use the site to solicit the workshop for a job it has already refused in writing on a service page. The two hidden fields on every form exist to catch automated submissions and are never shown or labelled to a person filling in the form honestly.

Inquiry only, nothing sold here

Ziruqen does not sell anything through this website. There is no cart and no checkout on any page, including the Job Configurator on the homepage, and no payment is ever taken through a form here. Any time estimate, key count or service name the configurator produces is a working estimate built from the mapping table in its own code — it is not a binding quote, and it is not an offer capable of acceptance. A number shown on a service page is a description of how the shop usually prices that job, in the same spirit.

An inquiry becomes an order only once the bench has spoken with you, either by phone or in person, confirmed the fixture, the fault and the address, and agreed a time. Nothing on this site substitutes for that call.

What's provided as-is

The website, its content and its configurator are provided as available, without warranty that the site will be uninterrupted, error-free, or that every estimate it produces will match the job once the bench sees the actual hardware. A cylinder that looks standard from a photo sometimes isn't once it's open on the bench; the estimate is adjusted on-site when that happens, before any work continues.

On the physical work itself, the guarantee is plainer and separate from this website disclaimer: if a cylinder Ziruqen rekeys doesn't turn clean within thirty days of the job, the bench comes back and corrects it at no additional call-out charge. That commitment covers the labor performed by the three people on the bench. It does not cover hardware that fails on its own after installation, misuse of a lock once it's handed back, or a fixture the shop already told you, in writing, that it would not take on.

Ownership of the site's content

The text, photographs, the stamp mark and the Ziruqen wordmark on this site belong to Ziruqen. None of it may be copied, reused or represented as belonging to another shop or another job. Photographs on this site are of the workshop's own bench, tools and hardware; none of it is stock imagery standing in for real work.

How anything is priced

Every job is priced in US dollars against one of six bases: key cutting is priced per key, cylinder rekeying per cylinder, hardware swaps per door, lockout response per call-out, small safe service per unit, and furniture or drawer lock repair per lock. Payment is collected on completion of the visit, by whatever method the bench accepts at the counter that day — none of it runs through this website.

A number given over the phone or through the configurator can change once the bench opens the actual hardware: a cylinder with a broken pin costs more in parts than a clean rekey, a deadbolt with a stripped strike plate takes longer than a straight swap, and a safe with a jammed bolt takes more of the hour than a simple combination reset. Any change is told to you before the work that caused it continues.

Cancellation and refusal

A scheduled visit can be moved or cancelled by calling +1 (429) 555-0256 or emailing office@ziruqen.com; there is no cancellation fee for reasonable notice because there is no deposit taken through this site to refund. Ziruqen can decline or end an engagement, or withdraw access to the site's forms and chat, where a job falls outside the refused list in clause 1.3, where the address or contact details given turn out to be false, where the acceptable-use terms in clause 1.4 are broken, or where a visit becomes unsafe to carry out. None of that requires advance notice where safety is the reason.

Limit of liability

To the extent the law of Texas allows it, Ziruqen's liability for any claim arising from work booked through this site is limited to the amount actually paid for that specific job. Ziruqen is not liable for indirect or consequential loss — a missed delivery because a drawer stayed locked an extra hour, for instance — and is not liable at all for damage to hardware the workshop was not engaged to touch, including car keys, fleet systems and fire-rated vault safes, all three of which the bench refuses to work on for exactly this reason.

Governing law

These terms are governed by the law of Texas, United States, and any dispute arising from them is heard in the courts of Austin, Texas. That applies whether the visitor reached this site from inside the United States or from elsewhere.

Changes to these terms

If these terms change, the effective date at the top of this page changes with them, and the new version is posted here in place of the old one. There is no separate notification list; checking this page before booking a new job is how a returning visitor sees a change. A job already confirmed under an earlier version keeps that version's terms.
